How much does an MRI study cost?
Each MRI study will cost $465.00 U.S. funds. The only additional cost would be for a contrast injection material if it is needed for your study. That additional cost for the injection is $100.00. Contrast is use for very specific situations. In most cases we can tell you in advance if the injection is needed.

Will The Ministry of Health or my insurance pay for the MRI?
Buffalo MRI & CT is a Ministry of Health approved MRI facility for large statured patient. These are patients that have first attempted the MRI in Ontario and could not perform the study due to a large body habitus. Only if the patient is unable to complete the study first in Canada, will the Ministry of Health pay for the study at Buffalo MRI & CT. The study will then be performed on our Open MRI system. We are not aware of the Ministry of Health paying for CT studies. We recommend that you call your local Ministry of Health office to discuss their policy for payment for out of country services. Other insurance may offer to reimburse you for the cost of the study, but you must pay in full at the time of the visit.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all Major Credit Cards, Money Order, Cash, or Bank Draft. All forms of payment must be in U.S. funds. We do not accept personal checks. The MRI must be paid in full at the time of the study.

How soon can you schedule my appointment?
We can usually offer an appointment within 2-3 days of your phone call.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open Monday through Friday 7:30am to 10:30pm. We are also open at least two Saturdays per month.

How soon will my doctor get the results of the MRI?
You will leave here with a full set of your films in hand. A Radiologist's report from Buffalo MRI & CT will be faxed to your doctor's office within 24-48 hours.
